QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree and/or supplemented by an equal number of years of directly related administrative office experience;
- Proven experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications to include technical expertise in database management, data entry, and word processing;
- Ability to function as a productive team member;
- Ability to be organized and achieve maximum efficiency;
- Extensive secretarial and clerical skills;
- Basic bookkeeping skills;
- Excellent grasp of the English language;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Knowledge of college policies and procedures;

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Clerical support for the faculty and Dean for the Division of Mathematics
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Functioning as office manager for the Dean of Mathematics and receptionist;
- Reviewing and distributing mail;
- Filing, composing letters, and processing correspondence;
- Scheduling appointments and meetings for the Division of Mathematics ;
- Maintaining the calendar for the Dean of Mathematics;
- Initiating the semester requirements for full-time faculty as well as adjunct faculty each semester.
- Completing all pay requests and time sheets for adjuncts, Faculty, and staff in the Mathematics division;
- Completing load and overload tracking and pay requests for full time faculty;
- Receiving and checking all faculty travel requests and enter into database;
- Generating all requisitions for supplies for the division;
- Monitoring certification/recertification for the division faculty; creating files and organizing paperwork for signature;
- Entering course additions, changes, etc. for each semester;
- Contacting students for the Dean to arrange meetings;
- Maintaining files;
- Maintaining budget records, receipts, and expenditures information;
- Making room reservations for special meetings and events;
- Mentor Work Study student;
- Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.

Compensation and Application Deadline
The salary for this position ranges from a minimum of $37,159.70 to a midpoint of $48,307.61. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and education
